I'm glad后接that从句和when从句的区别

I’m glad that the whole business is over and done with.

I’ll be glad when the whole business is over and done with.

请问这两句都对吗?如果都对,它们在含义有区别吗?谢谢!

that 引导的是名词性从句充当形容词 glad 的补足语(也称形容词宾语),是形容词短语的一部分,表达的是高兴的原因其中紧接着 glad 的 that 可以省略

1. I'm glad (that) the whole business is over and done with. 我很高兴整件事情结束了。

2. I'm glad (that) he's feeling better. 他身体好些了,我很高兴。

3. We're so glad (that) you can come. 我们很高兴你能来。

when引导的是副词性从句,充当动词 be 的时间附加语(时间状语),是动词短语的一部分,表达的是高兴的时间整句可以移至句首

1. I'll be glad when the whole business is over and done with. 等整件事情结束了我就高兴了。(= When the whole business is over and done with, I'll be glad.)

2. I'll be glad when the war is over. 等战争结束了我就高兴了。(= When the war is over, I'll be glad.)

3. She was glad when the meeting was over. 会议结束时她很高兴(也许因会议结束而高兴,也许因为其他原因)。(= When the meeting was over, she was glad.)
