make sb adj to do 结构的正误判断

The boy's bad temper made people difficult to like him.

The boy's bad temper made it difficult for people to like him.

英语有 make sb adj to do 这样的句式吗?

People are difficult to like him,而是要说 It is difficult for people to like him. 同样,英语习惯上不说 make sb difficult to do sth,而是要说 make it difficult for sb to do sth。即:

误:The boy's bad temper made people difficult to like him.

正:The boy's bad temper made it difficult for people to like him.

Her aggressiveness made it difficult for him to explain his own feelings.

The fact that she was foreign made it difficult for her to get a job.

The builders’ knocking and hammering made it difficult for me to concentrate on my work.

Her poor diction made her difficult to understand.

Dylan’s deep distrust of journalists made him difficult to interview.

She is difficult to understand. (=It is difficult to understand her.)

He is difficult to interview.(=It is difficult to interview him.)
