1. no+比较级+than“和…一样地不…”，意味着两者都否定，但往往着重说明前面的一个分句，其作用相当于“neither…nor”。例如：

Mary is no more diligent than Tom. = Neither Mary nor Tom is diligent. 玛丽和汤姆俩人都不勤奋。

2. not+比较级+than“不如…；不及于…”，语气常着重于后面的一个分句，常可与“not so/as … as”互换使用。例如：

    在“no + 形容词（或副词）比较级 + than”的结构里，其意义和口气在于强调该形容词（或副词）的反面性质。如：

从以上例句可以看出：“not any + 比较级 + than ”和“no + 比较级 + than ”这

两种句型的含义相同，但是与“not ...比较级 + than ”(比较级前面没有any)的含义不同。

He is not wiser than his brother. 他没他哥哥聪明。（误）
