lead 的使用结构有 lead sb to do 和 lead to do/doing，但在这里不适用，cause有cause sth to do 的使用方式，在此句结构中适用,但在词句中“变化趋势”所以引起引起的改变并不是坏的方向，而是有益的，所以应该用“好，坏，中性”都可以表示的lead，这就造成了我不知在上述句子中应该怎么使用cause和lead，请老师帮忙解答！

lead sb to do sth, 意为领导某人做某事，不适合你的句子。

既然你不想使用cause，你可以用lead to 或 result in + 名词结构。这是中性的用词。

Those change trends will result in a rapid decrease of the thermal conductivity of MC, which will then slow down gradually and stop.

这两种结构的区别不是很大，但 cause sb/sth to do 结构通常表示无意的、偶然的情况。
