except 后面可以接“疑问词+不定式”吗？

我知道，except后面可以接“疑问词”引导的从句。如：

He never came except when he was in trouble.

I know nothing about the accident except what I read in the paper.

同时我知道，except后面也可以接“不定式”。如：

He hardly spoke except to say hello.

She seldom goes out except to go to Mass.

I rarely need to go into the city centre except to do some shopping.

但是，请问老师，except 后面可以接“疑问词+不定式”吗？谢谢！

介词 except 之后接 “疑问词+不定式” 作宾语的用法非常少见，【英国国家语料库】中也仅找到到四个“except how to do”的例句：

In the old days she'd not had time to think about anything except how to keep out of trouble.

He's an expert on nothing except how to make profit.

When did you last teach anybody anything except how to get locked up "Don't quarrel with me, Cara. Not now."

His complete ignorance regarding horses, except how to ride them, came home to him as he sensed there was something wrong.
