as比较分句部分比较对应项的分析
You were born to be a fisherman as the fish was born to be a fish. San Pedro was a fisherman as
was the father of the great Dimaggio. (海明威老人与海）

1）如果一个句子中只有第二个as , 第一个as不出现， 例如the same...as, so...as, just...as,或干脆前面没有，只有第二个as,
请教老师，这仍然是“比较“吗？
2）在仅仅只有第二个as的情况下，例如上述1）的情况下，主句中的比较项怎么划分或判断呢？例如提出问题的句子？

为什么比较分句 as the fish was born to be a fish. 不缺成分呢？这和以前了解的比较分句必定有gap不同。
as the fish was born to be a fish.这句中as后没有gap, 所以我很困惑？
然而， San Pedro was a fisherman as was the father of the great Dimaggio. 这句中as比较分句却又有了gap.
为什么我所提问的句子的前半部分句子和后半部分的句子会不同呢？

than引导比较分句时，主句一定有比较项，其对应项在比较分句空缺形成空位。
as与than的不同之处在于，as引导比较分句时，主句可以有比较项，通常比较项为as+形容词或副词原级，the same..., such..., 或so...等，形成as...as..., the same... as..., not so...as... 和 such...as...。此时的as从句一律是比较分句。
但是，as引导比较分句时，主句中可以没有比较项。此时比较项隐含在as本身。比较分句仍然有空位，只不过有时空位是主语、宾语、表语，有时空位是状语。当空位是状语时，由于主谓宾是齐全的，会被误以为从句没有空位。这是误解。
You were born to be a fisherman as the fish was born to be a fish.
这个as引导的是方式状语从句，是比较分句的一个亚类，因此和比较分句一样，也有空位。本句中as=in the same way as或者=the same as. 这个分句是将主句和从句的方式做比较，结果二者一致。as从句是主句的方式状语，as从句本身的方式状语空缺，不可补全。
San Pedro was a fisherman as was the father of the great Dimaggio.
这个as从句为比较分句，主句没有比较项，as分句的表语为空位。
再如：
Mary is beautiful, as her sister is. as比较分句的表语为空位。
As we know, Mary is beautiful. as比较分句know的宾语为空位。
