一、我先讲一个问题：

Bill said that he didn’t like the party, and he wanted to go home right away. 

有的语法书认为：用 and 连接的两个宾语从句，只在第一个宾语从句前用了引导词 that，第二宾语从句前的引导词 that 则被省略。

这个说法有误。这不是省略 that，而是不能用 that。用that 毫无道理。这实际上是：

一个that 宾语从句，是由“并列句”组成的。换句话说，he didn’t like the party 和 and he wanted to go home right away 是两个并列分句，由 and 连接起来。that 从句涵盖着这个并列句。加了that，就打错而特错了。句子结构，实际是这样的：

Bill said that he didn’t like the party, and he wanted to go home right away.

二、简要分析网友这个句子：

She told me that they were so quiet, that she was the only person talking in class and it felt like the children were punishing her by making her talk to the walls! 

1. 划线部分是that 引导的 told 的直接宾语。整个宾语从句又是一个含有“结果状语从句”的主、从句。

2. they were so quiet（主句。表示程度）

3. that she was the only person talking in class and it felt like the children were punishing her by making her talk to the walls （从句。表示结果）

4. quiet 后面这个逗号似乎多余，应删除。

5. 在that 引导的“结果状语从句”中，是一个由 and 连接的并列句，两个并列分句是：

（1）she was the only person talking in class

（2）it felt like the children were punishing her by making her talk to the walls
