The murderer（主语） turned out to be （系动词）no other person than the inspector himself.（表语）

1. turned out 本身就是系动词。英语中，seem, appear, prove, turn out 等系动词后也可接不定式(尤其是 to be)短语作表语。在这些系动词之后，to be 可以省略。所以，不再拆开分析。

He seems (to be) sad. 他似乎很伤心。

He appears (to be) angry. 他似乎生气了。

The news proved (to be) false. 那消息证明是假的。

The man turned out (to be) a thief. 那人结果是个小偷。

2. no other （person） than：这是固定搭配，不宜拆开分析。person 不用也可。如果细分就是：than 是介词，意为“除了......以外”，不是其他（人）。
