1 way to后面接动词、动名词的规则
我看牛津词典上way作为方式方法途径，为 way to do sth 或者 way of doing sth，但是柯林斯词典上却有 The towns are on the way to becoming agglomerations of desperately poor people.
请问这个句子是有错误么？

句子正确。这里的 way 不表示“方式、方法、途径”。
on the way to （doing）...
字面：在（做某事）......的路上
引申：在（做某事）......的途中
比喻：正在（做某事）......的过程中
句意：这些城镇正在成为赤贫人口的聚集地。
