有人认为，英语通常用 mistake...for...，不用mistake...as。如：
通常不说：I mistook him as the minister.
通常应说：I mistook him for the minister. 我误以为他是牧师。
通常不说：She was mistaken as a government officer.
通常要说：She was mistaken for a government officer. 她被误认为是政府官员。
但牛津词典却认为完全可以说 mistake...as，所给例句是：
I mistook her offer as a threat. 我把她的好心错看成威胁了。
