“has it that-clause”是惯用表达句式，并不是所有的it作为形式主语或者形式宾语的句子都用这种句式。

1. 这里的 have是“表明；说”的意思，但have不接从句作宾语，所以要加it代替that从句作形式宾语。在这种结构中它常根据用作主语的名词译为“据说……；传说……；据报道……；谣传……”等等。例如：

Rumor has it that Jean is getting married again. 谣传简又要结婚了。

Word has it that the food costs an arm and a leg. 听说那里的食物贵得离谱。

Report has it that the ballet will visitEnglandbefore long. 据报道，这个芭蕾舞团不久将访问英国。

2. have it that的主语也可以是人，此时的意义是“坚持说……，硬说……”。例如：

He has it that he is right. 他硬说他是对的。

They have it that our plan is impracticable. 他说我们的计划不切实际。
