what do you know表示知道多少(那为什么不直接用how much)

A：Not yet, my friend, but I would like your help in writing the business plan.

这不是汉译英。你把what翻译成了多少。原文并没有how much的意思。

what不作预先假设，你可能知道很多有关知识，也可能一无所知。how much则假定你知道有关知识，然后问知道多少。

所以这个句子可以用what提问，也可以用how much 提问。意思略有不同。
