我的第一个疑问：one为什么不是代替 a brilliant hard-working  student. 这样的先行项a brilliant hard-working  student和其who引导的定语从句不是更有其逻辑性？

我的第二个疑问：先行项可以是一个名词也可以是一个名词词组。那么这里one是否显得多余，是否这里的one是表示强调？

例句2：The subject is too vast a one to be treated in an essay of this length.

例句4：This book is such a one as is needed by every student of English.

我的第四个疑问：one不是替代词，那么是one基数词？基数词前面怎么可以跟不定冠词a。实义词one？实义词one意义上相当于people或person。那么这里one到底是什么词？这两个例句的结构分别是too +adj.+a +n.和such+a+n.，通过这两个结构可以判断是one是名词就是替代词！
