过去分词能不能直接加宾语

看到很多现在分词直接+宾语的，如

Following my dog, we ran into the garden.

却很少看到过去分词直接+宾语的，通常是过去分词+介词再+宾语。如

Seen from the top of the hill, the small city looks wonderful.

请问老师，是因为过去分词直接+宾语这种用法不对吗？能不能举个例子？

带双宾的动词，间接宾语跑去做主语后, 过去分词还会“直接”带一个直接宾语。

sb. gave him a book ---- > He was given a book.

Given a book, he has to spend some time on it.

其它情况，（单宾语动词的）过去分词怎么带宾语？
