【考研英语】几个语法问题

1.American Indians are the only people native to the USA.

请问这里native 是名词？在people后面好奇怪。。

2.In fact, the white house claimed that it could invalidate any otherwise legitimate state law that it disagrees with.

请问这里that引导的定于从句要如何解读？it是指白宫，with后面省略了state law是吗？

3.I'm going to buy ice cream down the street.

I'm going to down the street buy ice cream.

请问这两句话有误吗？ice cream 前面是否因缺少冠词而有误？

英语中名词前面如果没有冠词/形容词性物主代词的话，可数名词本身要复数不是吗？

1.American Indians are the only people native to the USA.

native在此为形容词，被to 介词短语修饰构成形容词短语。形容词短语作people的后置定语。

2.In fact, the white house claimed that it could invalidate any otherwise legitimate state law that it disagrees with.

that作为关系代词引导定语从句，指代先行词 any otherwise legitimate state law, 并在从句中作介词with的宾语。所以with后并没有省略成分。

3.I'm going to buy ice cream down the street.

ice cream 既可以是不可数名词，也可以是可数名词。所以本句用零冠词是可以的。也许加上限定词some会更好一些。

I'm going to down the street buy ice cream.

介词短语down the street不应插入不定式符号to和动词原型之间，故本句错误。
