that kind of sth 和 that kind of a sth的区别

我看字典上一般都是kind of 后直接加单数名词，但最近在老友记里看到一句话:

It's not gonna be that kind of a party.

请问这里如果把 a 给去掉，和原来有区别吗？

this/that kind of + a +可数名词

虽然不用这个“a”的好像规范一点，但实际上它是选择性的，

this kind of 可以理解为“许多”、也可理解为“一种”

要解决这样的问题，搜索一下 that kind of (a）job; that kind of (a) dress

就可以自己解决。（注意搜索不要用百度、360之类）
