请教各位前辈,fall是延续性动词吗?
很多人说fall是瞬间性动词,按理说“落下”是一个有时间的过程啊,如果是瞬间性动词的话就不能说sth. is/are falling了。首先我觉得如上所述这不符合常理,其次国外还有不下十首叫leaves are falling的歌,这是为什么?但如果是延续性的话,fall down却又是瞬间性的要改成be down,这互相矛盾的地方怎么解释?还是说英语中存在一些既可以作为延续性又可以作为瞬间性的动词?
She was falling. 她从500层高楼在向下掉,底下群众可以看的同时,还能掏出手机,有足够的时间。
She fell. 她在走路时,摔了,瞬间就产生结果,头撞了个包。She fell and hit her head.
故,fall是不是瞬间动词,就看它用不用于瞬间。
