worth与worth of的用法

老师好，下面句子里，

Huge progress has been made against these diseases since an agreement in 2012 by pharmaceutical firms to donate billions of dollars’ worth of drugs.

“billions of dollars’ worth of drugs”为什么要加worth of？直接说 billions of dollars’ drugs不行么？

1）The MP3 is worth at least $10.

这台MP3至少值10美元。（这里worth的用法同介词）

2）I bought about ten dollars' worth of MP3.

我买了一台价值约10美元的MP3.

worth of sth 表示“价值多少多少的（物品）”，其套用格式是：

金额's worth of sth.
