with the result that...句式分析

赵振才语法书上说with the result that=介词+名词+定语从句的结构，但是起着从属连词的作用。

例如:

I was in the bath, with the result that I didn't hear the telephone.

但我却认为with the result that=介词+名词+同位语从句，不知对否？如果是定语从句，that无法分析成分。

with the result that常被用作连词引导结果状语从句。如果细分的话，应该是that引导同位语从句说明result的内容。如果that作为引导定语从句的关系代词，那么that在定语从句中作什么成分呢？所以，我认为你的分析是正确的。如以下句子中的that在从句中均不担当成分：

I was late, with the result that I missed my train. 我迟到了, 因此我没能赶上火车。

I was in the bath, with the result that I did not hear the telephone. 那时我正在洗澡，因此没有听到电话铃响。

我想了半天，能用上定语从句的，好像只能是这样的结构
