In, from, or toward the south
adv.
adv.
By the time he came south, he was prepared to sling a little blame.
Finally, Jewish merchants came south to develop commerce.
I went north to visit, and we would get together when he came south.
"When I came South," he says," I tried not to sound like a Yankee.
After the Civil War ended in 1865, a new wave of northerners came south with much the same ideology as the Gideonites.
When Michael Swell came South, he got in the habit of telling people he was from the midwest.
