by too strict an hand over them 请问为什么too strict提前了

If the mind be curb'd, and humbled too much in children;  if their spirit be abas'd  and broken much, by too strict an hand over them, they lose all their vigour and industry.

但如果形容词被副词so, as, too, how, that, this修饰,则词序为so/as/too/how/that/this+形容词+a/an+名词。例如:

She is so beautiful a girl.

I have as nice a car.

This is too small a room.

How big a house you have!

I can't read that/this thick a book.

You can hardly imagine how clever a boy he is.

I have never seen so kind a man.

That’s too hard a task for me.

She is careful enough a nurse to tend patients.

▲ rather和quite也是程度副词,但其强调程度远不及how, so, as, too, that, enough。

He came across to me as being quite a / a quite nice person. (不能说quite nice a person

Forrest was rather a / a rather stupid boy. (不能说rather stupid a boy
