句中的 leave him as he is = leave him alone = let him be “别打扰他，别管他，就让他那样”，as he is 是方式状语，表示“照旧，照原样，像现在这样”。又如：

Leave it as it is. 保持原状，不要动它。

Tell her to come to the party just as she is. 告诉她就像现在这样来参加聚会就行.

If you're not responsible for your results, then you can assume there's nothing for you to learn, and you can stay exactly as you are. 如果你不为自己的结果负责，那么你可以认为没有什么好学的，你可以保持原样。

另外，as it is 或 as they are 也属此类句式，但表达的意义更广泛：

1. as it is / was 的意义为“照现在的情况；事实上；实际上”。无论 as it is 还是 as it was，它们都是直陈语气，常放在句首，有时也放在句中。例如：

3. 值得注意的是：as it were 是 as if it were so 的省略。as it were 和 so to speak 的意义相同，表示“可以说；打个比喻说；好像；换句话说”等意义。在语法上是独立成分，用作插入语，可以用于任何时态的句子里。例如：

He is, as it were, a walking dictionary. 他可以说是一部活字典。

The book gives, as it were, a picture ofthe evil old society. 这本书可谓是展现过去那个邪恶社会的图画。
