这个题目官方答案是what，我也同意what正确。但我心里一直有个疑惑，who到底可以吗？

在早期英语中，who可以是融合型关系代词，引导名词性关系分句。who = the person who. 但这种用法在现代英语已经不用了。在阅读中遇到的都是引用古典作品中的原文。在日常英语中是不能把who用作融合型关系代词的。

你的句子显然是日常口语，用who引导名词性关系分句是错误的。

本句中的what = the kind of person that.。

所以，本题的唯一正确答案为what.

what 只涉及自身的属性，人还是那个人；局部性概念

who有可能"变成另外一个人" (是不是那人？)；整体性概念

这是what he is / who he is 在特定语境下的、非常大的区别, 如：

### In the mirror stands what/who she became

In the mirror stands (the person) who she has become.

= She has become someone else. ( 如简直换了个人，“我都成什么人了？”)

In the mirror stands what she has become

= She has become something else.（如她看着自己天使般的身材，很是得意）

但这两个例子里，第一个例子，是不可能真变成另一个人的，只是说变化巨大而已。
