I caught the first bus. I am not late for work. So it is with him.

so it is with him 从字面完全不能理解这个句子的意思,字典给的意思和so does he差不多...那它们有区别吗?

首先，请网友看一个句子：Karl Marx was born in Germany, and German was his native language. So was Engels. 这句话对吗？

这句话是错误的。前句是一个并列句，两分句的主语分别是Marx和German，说的是人和事。这样就导致So was Engels的意思变为：“恩格斯也是出生于德国，也是他（马克思）的母语”，这显然很荒谬，恩格斯怎么会是马克思的母语呢？所以，So was Engels应该改为It was the same with Engels. / The same was true of Engels. / So it was with Engels.。在使用此类句式时通常要注意以下几点：

① “So +助动词+主语”表示“某人/事物也……”，“Neither / Nor +助动词+主语”表示“某人/事物也不……”。这两种句式均适用于两个人或事物的同种情况，在后一句中须省略与前句相同的成分以避免重复。例如：

My car needs repairing, and so does my computer (need repairing). 我的车需要修理，我的电脑也需要修理。

我分析一下 So it is with him. 的结构和意思。

1. so 是个副词“如此；这样”，作 is 的表语。用在句首是为了强调它的语义，让听者重视。

2. it 指代“前文描述的内容和全部情况”，不一定只是一件事，可能是两件或更多，所以 it 可以指代多个句子描述的内容。这时，so does/did/is/was he 就无法胜任了（它只能针对前文一句话而言）。

3. with 表示“涉及；对于”，with him “对他而言；对他来说”（也是如此）。

4. So it is with sb. 跟It is true of sb. 可以是“异曲同工”，表达相同的意思。

如果用so does he, 则只说了他也没吃到。如果用so did he, 则只说了他也刚上了头班车。所以用 So it is with him. 则表示前面所说的和他都一样。

So do I / So does he 之类，这个do是替代词，只能替代前句的Do

同样，So am I / So is he之类，也只能回应前面的BE动词

如果前句有do还有be或是其它两种以上的情况, 显然不好用 So do I and so am I

"So it is with sb. 与It is the same with sb. " 结构

1）Daniel is good at physics and runs very fast in sports meeting.

答：选C. 这里说的是两件事情同时适合另一个人，因此这里要用So it is with his brother

C. So it is with his brother. D. It is with his brother.

答：这里B & C两个形式都是对的，它们非常正式.

两个句型里，别把so/the same搞错
