worthwhile的主语不能是“事物”。

1. worthwhile值得的, 值钱的, 有价值的; 值得做的。用不定式或动名词作主语均可。例如：

To discuss this problem is worthwhile. = It is worthwhile to discuss this problem.这个问题值得讨论。

Discussing this problem is worthwhile. = It is worthwhile discussing this problem.这个问题值得讨论。

2. worthwhile还可以分开写，在while前加物主代词或定冠词，常用不定式作主语。例如：

It’s worth our while to discuss the problem, 这个问题值得我们讨论。

3.偶尔也可以用worth while for sb. to do。例如：

It’s worth while for us to discuss the problem. 这个问题值得我们讨论。
