主谓一致问题

What is your name and phone number?

这里的谓语动词用单数is对吗？用are 算错吗？

What are...?会很别扭的。可以理解这是What is your name and what is you phone number的简略形式。

“主谓一致” 遵循的三个原则，即：语法一致原则、意义一致原则和就近原则。有时候，“就近原则”是很重要的，它体现了语用的基本特征。

下列情况均是根据“就近原则”：

1. You or Linda is to blame for the accident.

（谓语动词根据就近的主语而定：Linda is，而非you are）

2. There is a chair and three desks in the office.

（谓语动词根据就近的主语而定：a chair）

3. What is your name and phone number?

（谓语动词根据就近的主语而定：your name，即便phone numbers 是复数，也不受影响）
