主语从句that可以省略吗

It's too bad you can't go as far as Ottawa.

it 是形式主语那真正的主语应该是后面的 you can't....吧。但是主语从句不是不可省略引导词吗？

引导主语从句的 that，原则不能省略。但在口语中而且是后置的情况下，有时可以省略。又如：

It's too bad you can't come to the party.

你不能来参加宴会真遗憾。

It's too bad you can't spend your holiday with us.

真遗憾你不能与我们一起渡假。

It's bad you missed the chance.

真不幸你错过了这个机会。

It's bad you cannot go as far as Ottawa, Canada's capital.

遗憾的是你们不能一直走到加拿大的首都温哥华。

It's too bad you were late. The beginning of the movie was very important.

迟到真是太可惜了。这部电影的开场非常重要。

口语为了简练，有时候 It is 也可省略：

Too bad you couldn't come last night.

你昨晚没能来，真是遗憾。

My house was clean last week. Too bad you missed it!

我的屋子上星期非常干净。只可惜你错过了！

1.由that引导的主语从句放在句首时，that不省略。但是，当主语从句位于句尾，而用it来做它的形式主语时，that是可以省略的。如人教社高二英语（下册）就有这样一句：

It's a pity you missed the sports meeting last week. 你错过了上周的运动会，真遗憾。

2.引导表语从句的that通常不省略，但在非正式语体中有时也可以省略。如人教社初中英语第三册就有这么一例：

The only problem is you can't eat trees!唯一的问题是，你不能吃树子。
