二个破折号之间为三个并列分词作onslaughts的同位语。所以and后也应该是主谓结构，用连字符连接What's-the-point of the alliance anyway使其成为名词词组，违反了平行原则。应该去掉连字符，使其恢复为一个疑问句：what's the point of the alliance anyway.
