形容词作主语补足语问题

请问各位老师，此处的unseen是不是作了主语补足语，补充说明duke在观察Angelo的时候是不被发现的。

网友不应该滥用”主语补足语“这个术语。
unseen是形容词，作伴随状语修饰不定式to watch. 即施事者在做watch这个动作时，伴随的施事者的状态。由于这个状态是伴随to watch的动作而存在的，所以分析为形容词作伴随状语。我们可以将unseen改为副词secretly，副词是修饰动词的，表示动作的方式，可以分析为方式状语。但不可以说形容词是方式状语。因为形容词不能直接修饰动词的。
