man, woman 用不用冠词的问题

man 和 woman 作为可数名词，它有时前面不用冠词，觉得很奇怪。如：
Man has a free will. 人有自由的意志。
Man is engaged in a constant struggle with Nature. 人与大自然进行不懈的斗争。

▲你的两个句子中的 man 实际上是表示“人类”，此时其前通常是不用冠词的。又如：
Early man shows certain affinities with the ape. 早期的人类和猿有某些相似之处。
Man is the only animal that has the faculty of speech. 人类是唯一有说话能力的动物。
Man’s earliest implements were carved from stone and bone. 人类最早的工具是用石头和骨头制成的。
Man is exterminating too many species for zoos to be much help. 人类正在导致过多物种灭绝，动物园也无济于事。
