put sb on notice. 警告某人，提请某人注意。从字面修饰关系讲，on notice是put的地点状语。但这种固定用法没有必要去细分成分。后面但that从句是notice的同位语从句，即提醒注意或警告的内容。

Our Nation has been put on notice: We are not immune from attack.

我们的国家得到了警告:我们并非没有遭受攻击的可能。

on notice 也是“习语”。“处于通知、提醒、警告的状态”。

put sb. on notice ，从字面意思理解就是：“使某人处于被通知、提醒、警告的状态”。that 从句是notice 的同位语。

既然是习语，这样记住即可。
