grow加形容词

请问一下，一道改错题。most school students are growing up healthy and strong为什么不去up呢，成为grow加形容词不对吗？

grow up 意为成长、长大。后接形容词作伴随状语，表示主语成长时所处的状态。

如果没有up, grow后直接跟形容词，则为系表结构，grow就不是成长的意思，而是系词变得，形容词作表语了。

healthy and strong是主语补足语，所以这个句子成分没有问题，你可以理解为主语+不及物+副词+主语补足语。去掉up的话，主系表结构，也没有问题。唯一的不同就是句子意思上了

(2)主语+grow +形容词属于系表结构，主语变得怎样，grow属于变化系动词，表示主语由某个状态变成另外一个状态

上面的句子实际上等同于下面的句子。

如果改成第2个句子后，就非常好理解第1个句子了。
