我觉得网友可能是受了汉语的影响，所以觉得Your were lent“你被借”不复合逻辑。其实lend接双宾语变被动语态时，是可以可将间接宾语用作主语的。如：

He lent me this ruler.

→ This ruler was lent to me.

→ I was lent this ruler.
