原句是典型的毫无章法的“中式英语”。改为：

You can imagine how they felt when they got home to see the burnt paper money.

It can be imagined how they felt when they got home to find the paper money burnt.

可以想象当他们回到家看到已经烧焦的纸币的心情。

以上句子完全是乱七八槽写出来的，可以用“惨无人睹”来形容

(1)It is imaginable what feelings they had when they got home to find the paper money burnt.

(2)You can imagine how they felt at the sight of the burnt paper money when they arrived home.
