文章名称中的定冠词的首字母是否要大写

《独立宣言》the Declaration of Independence 这里的the需不需要大写，一般虚词是不大写的原则，网上the首字母大小写都有，有点疑惑请老师解答!

这里的冠词The的首字母应该大写，因为它在标题开头。张道真《英语语法大全》（下册）第1801节对这个问题有具体说明：

除了标题内的a, the, and, or, to (作为不定式的标记) 和四字母以下介词之外，标题中所有的词均需大写，甚至标题头尾的a, the 等也需大写：

A Billionaire Returned From Abroad （A在标题头）

The Far East Daily （The在标题头）

The Life Pictorial

War and Peace

Man to Rule the Earth and the Moon

The Country I live In （In在标题尾）
