这两句话的翻译哪个更加地道呢？有没有其他的翻译方法呢？

support 应该用单数 supports。这两句最好加情态动词can。

你同学的翻译，更加贴近汉语意思。而你的翻译中，虽然意思也能讲过去，但没有出现opportunity 这个词，略嫌不足。

support sb to do sth的用法是错误的。support不能后接复合宾语。

英语是逻辑性很强的语言。汉译英时不能照字面直译，而是应该分析汉语表达的真正逻辑是什么。没有电脑科技，人们照样可以相互交流，比如写信、打电话、直接见面等。电脑科技只不过使人们的交流变得更容易而已。所以，翻译的时候要按照“电脑科技使交流更容易或帮助人们交流”这个逻辑来进行。示例如下：

Computer technology makes it easier for people to communicate with one another.

Computer technology can help people in communicating with one another.
