'd just soon 是个“习语”，它有两种结构：

1. 'd just soon + 动词原形

2. 'd just soon + that 从句

这两种表达中的缩略形式 'd，到底是指had 还是would，一直有争论。不过从语法角度看，理解为would 才是合理的，因为后面是动词原形。

这跟'd rather + 动词原形 和 'd better + 动词原形，应该属于一种类型。我倾向于都是would，而不是had，因为语法使然。习惯用法和语法相比，我更敬畏语法。原本应为would，由于口语使用了缩略形式'd，久而久之，有人认为可能是had，因此就有了had better do 的说法，其实是错误的，应为would better do。
