1. not that long ago 是非限制性定语，修饰 a time（曾经一次；曾几何时）。这跟英语时间、地点的“从小到大排列” 类似，如：at ten yesterday。先说at ten，再说yesterday。

2. that 是程度副词，意为“那么”，等于so 之意。not that long ago = not so long ago。又如：Your son is that naughty. (=so naughty)
