be without interest in = show/have no interest in：这里interest 显然是名词。注意：interest 无论是形容词还是名词，后面跟in 搭配，表示“在...方面”。

without是介词，介词后不可能接动词原型，所以interest必须是名词。这个问题不该提问的，这是介词的最基本用法。

without为介词，后面interest必须是名词，而是还是抽象名词。
one should be without interest in them
=one should be wihout being/becoming interested in them
=one should be without showing interest in them
one should show/have no interest in them
