2. want sth. to be done

我认为上述两种表达，是有一定区别的。

want sth. done 这个结构，done 没有时间概念，就是说没有确定的时间，也许在want 之前，也许同时，也许之后。比方说，经理出差了，他安排了一项任务给秘书，他回来时希望这项任务就已经完成，看到结果。这时，用want it done，而不用want it to be done。

want sth. to be done 这个结构，不定式to be done 显然表示将来的事，也符合网友句子的语境。目前，工厂或其他设施尚未在良田上被建筑，农民只是不希望以后发生此事。所以，本句选择to be done 更好。

Some farmers do not want good agricultural land to be built on.

参考译文：一些农民不想良好农田上面建造任何其它的建筑物。

以上句子相当于“some farmers don't want any building to be built on good agricultural land”或者说“some farmers don't hope that anything will be built on good agricultural land”

答案是B .  但是学生认为是D. 对吗？

I don't want the child to be left alone.
我不希望把这孩子单独留下。

He wants his sprained ankle carefully to be treated.
他要叫人把他扭伤的足踝细心地医治。

(2)want sb to do 

That child wants a nurse to look after him.
那孩子需要保姆照顾他。

The manager wants you to think it over.
经理希望你仔细考虑一下。

She wants Mary to go with her.
她希望玛丽和她一道去。
