deserve后接that从句的用法比较少见，一般词典都没有收录这种用法。但语法书在讲述虚拟语气时（准确的说在讲解推定式should的用法时）会提及这种用法。

Has she deserved that you should treat her like this? 

Does he deserve that you should treat him like this?   

He said that he really didn't deserve that they should treat him so kind.

He said that he really didn't deserve she should be so kind.

以上例句中，deserve都用于肯定或疑问句，that从句的表示是与主句谓语时间同时的状态或习惯性事件，推定式should表示感情色彩，表示说话人不大相信that从句的内容是真的，但似乎又无法否认。即should表示“竟然、居然”这样的感情色彩。这种用法的should可以改为陈述语气。

The victims deserve that we act quickly to change the world in which they were murdered. 

本句中，that从句表示的事件并没有发生。说话人认为that从句表示的内容是我们的义务、责任，但并不是事实。that从句用动词原型式虚拟语气。英国英语则可用should do代替动词原型。这种that从句和表示建议、命令、要求的that从句为同一类型。此时, should没有感情色彩。
