thus 和then都不是连词而是副词，为什么会看到 then 和 thus 前面直接用逗号不用连词的用法？如：

..., then...

..., thus...

请问正式文书要怎么写呢？是不是要写成：

..., and then...

..., and thus...

then和thus均为副词而不是连词，使用时要注意以下几点：

1.表示“之后，然后”then之前加and，但在口语或非正式文体中and常被省略。例如：

For a minute he looked uncertain, and then recovered his composure.有一小会儿他看上去有些迟疑不定，之后又恢复了镇定。《柯林斯高阶英汉双解词典》
