这题选B，我看解释考查的是被动，我怎么觉得是主系表结构？还有这个trying是省略了when吗？还是现在分词做时间状语呢？

此题应该选择C. was killed，而不是 is killed。“丧生”这个动作发生在过去，而且已经结束。不可能是习惯性的一般现在时。
