如果改成定语从句的话应该是这样的：

注意了，这里的which或者that不能省略，因为在定语从句中，如果连接词做从句中的主语的时候，是不能将其省略的，只有作宾语的时候，才能省略。所以照题主所理解的the quality of images are captured  省略了  定语从句关系词  这个理解是错误的。

 这里的image和capture之间存在动宾关系，所以填非谓语动词过去分词作定语 captured .

一般来说，非谓语动词作定语一般都可以改成定于从句。

又如：

1.The idea presented by Peter is much simpler. 

2.The idea which/that was presented by Peter is much simpler. 

同样的，第二个句子中的 which/that 不能省略，如果要省略，必须就像第一个句子中一样，把are也去掉，变成非谓语。

如果是主动关系的话：

1.People living here like folk music.

2.People who live here like folk music.
