▲关于独立主格结构中being 的使用问题，本着简练的原则，能用“名词 + 过去分词”结构时，尽量不用“名词/代词 + being + 过去分词”结构。例如：

    Other things considered，I prefer the first plan.

    考虑到其他一些事情，我选择第一个计划。

    He slept, the windows closed.他睡着了，窗子关着。

    Homework finished, the children rushed out happily.

    作业完成后，孩子们高兴地冲了出去。

    Thousands of eyes fixed upon her, Nancy felt very nervous.

    数千只眼睛看着她，南茜感到非常紧张。

    Blamed for his fault, Amber sat alone,head bent.

    因为过失受到批评，安伯独自坐着，头低着。

    More attention paid, the flowers can grow better.

    如果多加注意的话，这花会长得更好。

▲还有一类独立主格结构，是“名词 + being + 表语”构成。在此情况下being 可以省略，主要有如下几种情况：

    （1）逻辑主语 + 名词充当表语

    Amy received many birthday gifts, many of them Teddy Bear.

    艾米收到了很多生日礼物，其中许多是泰迪熊。

    Thousands of millions of people came to visit Shanghai Expo, many of them foreigners.

    成千上万的人来参观上海世博会，其中许多是外国人。

    （2）逻辑主语 + 形容词充当表语

    Adeline entered the room, her face red with cold.艾德琳走进了房间，脸冻红了。

    The boy rushed into the room, his face and hands dirty with mud.

    那个男孩冲进了房间，手和脸沾满了泥巴。

    （3）逻辑主语 + 副词充当表语

    Jack pulled on his sweater in a hurry, wrong side out.

    杰克匆忙地穿上了毛衣，结果穿反了。

    Nobody in, I couldn't walk in.没有人在，我不能进去。

    The game over, the audience left.比赛结束了，观众离开了。

    （4）逻辑主语 + 介词短语充当表语

    Young pioneers were lined along the streets, flags in hands.

    少先队员们排队站在街道旁，手里拿着旗子。

    Dark Clouds in the sky, it is going to rain soon.

    天空乌云密布，很快就要下雨了。

▲但在下列两种情况下，独立主格结构中的being（或having been）不能省略。

　　(1) 独立主格的逻辑主语是人称代词时。如：

　　It being Sunday, they all went to church. 因为是星期天，他们都去做礼拜了。

　　(2) 在There being + 名词的结构中。如：

　　There being no bus, we had to go home on foot. 因为没有公共汽车，所以我们不得不步行回家。
