2 insist that 后 should do 或 do 疑问
老师，您好！
以下问题一直以来都是一知半解，糊里糊涂的，从没有完全真正弄明白：
关于：
当insist作“坚决主张，坚持要求”时：
insist that sb should do. UK采用情态动词should+do形式。
insist that sb do. USA采用动词原形do形式。
我想知道：
(1) 如果按传统语法分析，
以上2种(shoud do和do)，是否“都”属于虚拟语气范畴？
(2) 如果按现代语法分析，只认为do是be型虚拟式，不认为should do是虚拟式（现代语法认为should do是情态动词用法）。
对吗？
(3) 我很疑惑：
以上，UK采用的should do中的should究竟是“什么意思”？？？ 是何种用法？？？是“应该，应当”的意思吗（个人认为不是）？
是推定性用法吧？有的书上说是推测性用法？ 推定性和推测性是一个概念吗？？？should翻译成中文有无具体对应的词汇或具体含义呢？
(4) 我很疑惑：
以上，为什么后面要采用should do 或 do 这种所谓的虚拟语气形式？？？理由是什么？？？（麻烦重点详细分析，因为关于这一点，我很疑惑不解）
(5) 关心这个：
当insist作“坚决主张，坚持要求”时，后面是不是一定要采用should do 或 do 这种所谓的虚拟语气形式？
可不可以也采用“陈述语气”？？？

动词 insist 的用法与语法
1. 表示“坚持”“主张”等，可及物或不及物。用作及物动词时，其后通常只接 that 从句作宾语，而不能接名词或代词作宾语，也不能接不定式或动名词作宾语。如：
误：He insisted his demand.
误：She insisted paying [to pay] for herself.
但是若其后接有介词 on 或 upon, 则可后接名词、代词、动名词。如：
He insisted on his demand.
他坚持他的要求。
She insisted on paying for herself.
她坚持要付她自己的那一份钱。
She insisted on being present at all the interviews.
她坚持所有采访自己都要在场。
2. 其后可接 that-从句，但要根据意思的不同而分清两种情况：
(1) 表示“坚持要”“一定要”，从句所指的一般是尚未实现的事实，此时谓语通常用虚拟语气（即should+动词原形），而且引导词that 一般不省略（尤其是当已经省略 should 时）。如：
The detective insisted that he should have a look.
警探坚持要查看。
I insisted that he (should) go with us.
我坚持要他和我们一块儿去。
My family insisted that I should not give in, but stay and fight.
家里人坚持认为我不应让步,而应该留下来继续抗争。
(2) 表示“坚持说”“坚持认为”，从句所指的通常是已经发生的事或已存在的状态，谓语一般用陈述语气，引导词 that 可省略。如：
He still insisted he wasn’t there at the time.
他仍然坚持说他当时不在那儿。
John insisted that he heard somebody in the house.
约翰坚持说他听到房子里有人。
The president insisted that he was acting out of compassion, not opportunism...
总统坚持说他如此做是出于同情而不是为了投机。
'It's not that difficult,' she insists...
“并没有那么困难,”她坚持说。
比较下面的句子：
He insists that she is careful.
他力言她是小心的。
He insists that she should be careful.
他坚持要她小心。
He insisted that he was not ill, but the doctor insisted that he should take the medicine. 他坚持说他没有病，但医生却坚持要他服药。
3. 不要受汉语的影响，在其后接用不定式的复合结构：
他一定要我们收下这些礼物。
误：He insisted us to accept these gifts.
正：He insisted on us [our] accepting these gifts.
正：He insisted that we (should) accept these gifts.
正：He insisted on it that we (should) accept these gifts.

She insisted that we should stay.(CGEL)她坚持要我们留下来。
I insisted that he (should) go. (LDCE) 我坚持要他走。
We insist that he be admitted to hospital immediately. (CGEL)
我们坚持要求马上收他入院。
insist 表示“坚持认为”、“坚持说”的意思时，其后宾语从句的谓语动词应该用陈述语气。如：
She insisted that she heard somebody in the house. (FWF)
她坚持说她听到了房子里有人。
I insisted (to everyone) that he was wrong. (LDCE)
我（对每个人都）坚持说他错了。
