关于face的用法

遇到一道改错题，如下：

Is this really the fate facing with educated women?

答案中是把with去掉，因为face是及物动词，这种改法可以理解。

但是，可否把facing改为faced？因为也有be faced with这种结构的。

Is this really the fate facing educated women?

Is this really the fate educated women are faced with.

sb be faced with sth. means something will happen and you have to deal with it.

因此不能说 the fate faced with educated women, 只能说 educated women faced with the fate.

改错一般只能改一处，后面跟人，应该faced by sb, 需要改两处，所以不可行。
