这个句子，除了蒋老师指出的几处错误外，还有一个就是：book 或books 都不能特指，应去掉the。

like 表示列举，可以指单数的一个名词，也可以列举一类事物中的一个，但都不能特指。例如：

A book like this ... 像这样的一本书

Books like this... 像这样的书

不说：

The book like this...

The books like this...

道理就是：名词已经被特指，再跟指示代词this 连用，属重复。

所以，这个句子：

The books with more pictures like this are all in the reading-room.

like this 修饰没有特指的pictures。

肯定是修饰the book, 因为like this, this指单数。如果like these就可能造成歧义了。
