两种表达都对。主语是名词时，用“名词+谓语”（the vicar asked）或“谓语+名词”（asked the vicar）均可；主语是代词时，用“代词+谓语"较为常见，但也可以用“谓语+代词”。请看84版高中英语《第二册》Lesson 11“The Last Lesson”课文中的两个句子：

“Children,”he said, “this is the last time that I shall give you a lesson.”

The master rose from his chair. “My friends,” said he, “my friends, ... I ... I ...”
