不用。以etc.为例：

Comply with the regulations, one’s wishes, etc. 遵守规则，顺从某人的愿望，等等。

但位于句中时，其后可以用逗号。如：

Many women attend a beauty parlour to have their faces, hair, nails, etc., treated. 许多妇女到美容院去做脸部美容、做头发、修指甲等。

Enter one’s name, an amount of money, details, etc., on a list, put in a book. 把某人的名字，把一笔钱，把各项细节等等列在一张单子上，写入账本里。

不过，在现代英语中，缩略词中的句点通常都不用。如：

Mr and Mrs Brown have two sons. 布朗夫妇有两个儿子。

She put theflour, eggs, etc, into a bowl and mixed them together; she mixed them up well. 她把面粉和鸣蛋等放在碗里。
